About
Hi, I’m Lanchai — a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, double-majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics & Applied Mathematics.
Interests
My primary academic interest lies in probability theory. I’m drawn to the way randomness can be subjected to rigorous mathematical analysis, and to the deep connections probability shares with analysis, combinatorics, and mathematical physics. My long-term goal is to pursue research in this area.
Competitive Programming
I spent a good chunk of my earlier years doing competitive programming. It shaped how I think about problems and gave me a solid foundation in algorithms and discrete mathematics. These days I’m less active, but the instincts stuck.

This is where I write — about mathematics, algorithms, things I’m reading, and whatever else seems worth putting into words.
